Daily Maintenance of Electric Golf Carts

2024-02-07

Daily maintenance of electric golf carts refers to the routine technical maintenance carried out on the carts to ensure they are always in good and complete working condition. It mainly involves inspection and dust removal, including cleaning the body surface and checking the tightness of safety mechanisms and the connections of various components. This daily maintenance can be performed by the driver before departure, during the journey, and after returning the cart, without taking up any additional time for driving. Spending just a few minutes on daily maintenance can ensure safe and comfortable driving while eliminating potential hazards, which is essential for drivers. When inspecting an electric golf cart, you should at least carry out the following checks or cleaning tasks:

Visually inspect the tires. If the tire pressure appears low, use a pressure gauge to measure it and inflate the tires promptly to ensure the pressure is between 300~350 kPa. Check whether the wheel bolts are loose or missing.

Before daily driving, it is necessary to check the total voltage of the power battery and the level of brake fluid. If either is insufficient, recharge the battery or add brake fluid as required.

Inspect whether the critical electrical components are functioning properly. If any issues are found, repair them immediately.

Clean the interior and exterior of the cart, removing any dust and dirt. Wipe the painted surfaces of the body, and clear any frost, snow, water, or dust from the windshield, rearview mirrors, and exterior lights to ensure they are clean and do not obstruct driving. You can use a vacuum cleaner, duster, or cleaning materials for this purpose.
